Series III 3800 SC Engine Tuning

Well, I have received my HPTuner's scan tool, and have started to tune the GTP. After digging around through all the sites, and good stuff, it seems like some of the information I have found is just out-dated, incorrect for currect versions, different cars then mine, or just plain wrong. On this page, I am going to show you some of the things I have done, and am currently doing to tune my 2004 Grand Prix GTP.Now, this engine is different from the previous year and models. This is the new Series III 3800 3.8L V6 Supercharged Engine by GM. This engine is not only used in the Grand Prix GTP, but also in many others. For this reason, I will be just showing you things from my Grand Prix, and hope you can learn something, help me in someway if I am incorrect, or help yourself tune a little more. While digging around the HPTuner forums, most of the posts are for our V8 big brothers, Corvette, GTO and so on. Well, they have not forgotten about us V6 people. While some of the options are different, the basic fundimentals are still there.First of all, I started by downloading my current tune, I will call this my Stable tune. It is from a DHP 1.0 PCM, and it works alright. The car does not get pissy, or piss poor performance from this tune, and it's what I am currently using. Alright, open the VCM Editor and make a full Read Entire from your ECU. This might take a while, mine seems to only work if it is -NOT- in High Speed Mode. So it took me 15 minutes to download the ECU programming. Once you have this, make a copy of it, store it on the server, just keep a version of this in a safe place at ALL times. It may not be the best, but it might just get you home incase you really foul things up.Now, run the VCM Scanner Suite program, and lets setup a histogram to log the MAF and LTFT. On the current version...

Ricer Mouse

Well, with all the Civic's on the road, with a huge wing and fart-pipe, we here in IT, had to make our own version. We call it, Ricer Mouse. With the power of a huge wing, and a fart-pipe that sits at angle, and the horrible farting noise that it produces, well we believe that just equals speed. Here is a photo of the current Ricer Mouse. We hope you all enjoy. Here are some details that we have on Ricer Mouse. The following chart will show you that this is a powerful, shifting machine. Performance shifting on it's paperclip designed frontwheel drive transaxles. Neck snapping shifts!Oh, but we don't stop there. You would have to feel the tune from this beast, here is a chart of the RPM vs. kPa, it's got Boost!

Torrent Trader 1.5 Released

I have posted the latest version of the Joomla! Torrent Trader package. Version 1.5 offers more user suggested options, and features. Seems to work with some picky trackers better, and now has support for 'dvd covers' actually any image attached to a torrent. Just uses an URL of an image. You can either upload an image using your Joomla! media manager, or just put the URL to the product on Amazon or something of the sort. This version does not yet work on Joomla! 1.5, just happens to be the next version number. I will start working on Torrent Trader for Joomla! 1.5 so bare with me. Anyone who wants to help with Joomla 1.5 coding, just let me know. You can find the download under the downloads section. Same page as the older versions.

Internet Explorer

I am so tired of working on two versions of my site just to please Internet Explorer. Microsoft should just give up now. As new standards are created, IE loves to just ignore them. Why do we make standards? So people follow them, not go off on their own path and do what it wants. Internet Explorer 7 was supposed to fix the problem, and it has not. Internet Explorer 8 which is in the technology news soon to be released, would fix these correct? Nope, so far, people are stating that you have to add a meta-tag and other small tags to your page to force the browser into a standards complient mode... WTF, it's a standard, follow it. Don't try and fix peoples sites that don't want to follow the standard, or go off and break there sites. We have free services that will scan your site and help you make it complient. There is no reason for this shit. Oh.... Just ranting.
