| Photo Gallery Component |

This is my simple photo gallery component for Joomla. It has some limitations and such because it's simple, but it works great for me. You can do any modifications you wish, but if you do, I would like a copy if your willing to see where the idea is actually going. It might be neat to make a real, useable component out of this for people who just want a simple gallery of thumbnails and then larger photos. I have included some instructions in INSTALL.txt inside the zip file, since you will have to create some folders using FTP or any other access you may have. I designed this for use with Joomla's Media Manager Administrative backend.Note: Alright, my last packing of the file I seem to have forgot the INSTALL.txt file, and well, I don't have it any more. So I will add the install instructions here... - Before you install please create the following folders... : Navigate to the images folder of Joomla, and create a folder here called gallery, navigate to the new folder you created called gallery and create a folder here called previews. - Install the gallery through the Joomla administrative backend as you would any component. Create a link to it from a menu. - Use FTP, Joomla's Media Manager, or some other file copy protocol to upload photos. Here is the format you should use. : Inside the gallery folder you created create folders that will represent Image Galleries on your website. Each folder is a gallery. Navigate to the previews folder you created and upload an image here with the same name as the folder that will represent this gallery. Example; If I have a gallery called, Wedding, I will create a folder inside gallery called wedding and then upload an image called wedding.jpg to the previews folder. Then I would upload my wedding photos into the wedding gallery folder. UPDATE: I have added the ability for the image thumbnails to become links instead of just text. Please be aware that I can no longer support all of the programs that I have created in the past. I am focusing on my job, and my life outside of the computer world. I will continue to help as much as I can, but be aware that this software comes with no absolute that I will create updates, or fix any problems with it. Thank you Set as Favorite Bookmark Create PDF
