I cancelled my pre-order placed on 11/28. Switched to Amazon instead, the expected deliver will be Feb 2012. At the meantime I will keep close eye on Acer's Iconia Tab A700 which suppose to be on market by March 2012, and debut on 2012 CSE in Jan 10-13. That tablet is the same quad-core, but flaunting 1920x1200 resolution.

I just received the same email. I am very disappointed in Newegg. I've never had a problem with them in all the years I have been buying from them, but to be honest, I have never ordered anything other than in-stock, ready-to-ship items.

I also preordered on the 28th of November. I contacted their customer service via live chat, and told them how unhappy I was that they pushed back to the release date TWICE, and that while I understand they are at the mercy of their supplier(s), they should have proactively contacted everyone who preordered with updates. It really irked me that I had to log in to my account everyday and see if they had shipped my tablet. I also let them know that I did not appreciate this business practice of herding as many people as possible to plunk down a preorder without actually knowing how much stock they would receive. This is a very Walmart-ish Black Friday tactic, and I always thought Newegg was above that. Guess not.

I had preordered through Amazon, who cancelled my preorder, so I then preordered through Adorama (photography seller), who then also cancelled my preorder, and I thought for sure Newegg would be more reliable but alas I guess the good old days of customer satisfaction are gone and all anyone cares about is tricking you into giving up your hard earned cash.

i guess many people are in the same boat as me, you want a carpuder, you have an ipod/phone and you can see a use in being able to plug it in and listen to songs that are on it, maybe you have some songs on it that you dont have on your carputer, maybe you borrowed your mates ipod and want to listen to some of his songs, or maybe the biggest reason to want to do it is... Because you can and it would be freakin cool
